It always comes to my mind as how to define a school in the truest sense. Is school a place where students come to learn and teachers come to teach? Is school a domain only for edification? Is school a place with some constructional infrastructure where exchange of ideas takes place amongst the learners and the tutors? Or the school is a place for holistic development of the students and their inner and external personalities? Or the school is a place where discipline, ethics and academics are absorbed? So, what is a school?
It’s not easy in the truest sense to define a school without diving into plurality of the term. If a school meets with many of the above mentioned criterion through implementation, then for me the school has certain reasons to celebrate its success. As the Principal of the Heritage International School, I feel that this prestigious school has many achievements since its inception and we certainly have certain reasons to rejoice. I also find that, we have achieved certain goals which we had set for us before. Heritage International School, Daltonganj is known for its strict discipline and evolving academic domain. We are one school where evolution of ideas and their implementation will be the key to success for present and for years to come. To run successfully a senior secondary level school, rambling with over 2300 students, that too in a small, not that tech savvy place is a challenge in itself. We at Heritage International School, however love challenges. Not to mention the never tiring vigil and support from the two stalwarts of the management, Chairman Mr. Gyan Shankar Sir and Director Mrs. Sangeeta Shankar madam.
